Curriculum

The creative curriculum balances both teachers- directed and child initiated learning, with an emphasis on responding to children’s learning styles and building on their strength and interest. Curriculum will address age appropriate activities for children ages 0-4.

Gross Motor and Fine Motor Activities

Gross motor skills are the abilities usually acquired during infancy and early childhood as part of a child’s motor development, which is defined as walking, standing, running and climbing. Fine motor skills are the coordination of small muscle movements, which occur in the fingers usually in coordination with the eyes. The development of these skills is imperative to growth of a child.  The program will provide sufficient skills and activities to meet those needs.

Nutrition

A healthy breakfast, lunch and snack, will be provided to each child while being cognizant of  any individual allergies.

Parent involvement and volunteer

It is important that parents are aware and concern in the education of their children. Giving the parents the opportunity to become involved volunteer, will help in the educational development and growth of their child. Parents will be exposed to skills and strategies at the center which they can practice with their child at home.

Supervision

Many parents in the community work long hours and go to school and are unable to provide necessary supervision. During this time the children will be in a healthy and safe environment with individuals that provide necessary care and supervision.
